Help! What are the white fuzzes around my succulents?? (And how to remove them)

If you ever see white fuzzes on your succulents, they are most probably mealy bugs! Mealy bugs like to hide in gaps between leaves where sunlight can’t reach them. Thus,  check the stem, and spots in between or under leaves to see whether mealy bugs are roaming around 🥴

If you spot any mealy bugs, immediately manually remove the bugs using tweezers, or spray them using mealy bug killer. Do not let them infest your plants as they can really steal all the nutrients away from your beautiful succulents 😕

If the mealy bugs are clustered on the surface of the soil, remove the soil to check if the roots are being attacked by these bugs. If the bugs have infested the roots to the extent that it is hard to remove them, soak your plants in water mixed with a few drops of mild liquid soap or mealy bug killer for about 10 mins. Remove the plant and let it dry before repotting it.

Remember to immediately get rid of the bugs when you see them as they can reproduce fast and crawl to other succulents!!
