Do you know that succulent doesn't like to be in a big pot? They will generally grow better in a pot just slightly bigger than their size. Succulents are not greedy haha. That also explains why are succulents growing better when they are planted together instead of individually.

How about single potted succulents? Give them a small pot just enough for them to grow! Don't over provide them with the space and water. They will thrive especially under stress.
