Why are the leaves falling off my succulent so quickly?

There’s a question we get asked quite often…
-Tips of the day-
Why are the leaves falling off my succulent so quickly?
There could be a few possibilities why this is happening:
1. Lack of sunlight: If healthy chubby leaves falling off the stem with very gentle touch without any other signs, it simply means that the succulent needs more sunlight (just like what happens to our human hair when we are on diet trying to lose weight😬)
2. Lack of water: Leaves that become wrinkled and flat falling off the stem eventually due to underwatered. If that’s the case, check soil whether it’s compact, otherwise increase your watering amount or frequency to improve the situation😉
3. Poor ventilation: Leaves that become yellowish and translucent due to poor ventilation may or may not fall off the stem. If you see your succulents start having yellowish translucent leaves at the bottom, increase ventilation immediately😉
4. External forces: Maybe… just maybe, your family members accidentally hit it or your pet was playing with it! 😅😅 (Don’t panic if this was the case! Simply keep the leaves and allow new leaves to grow out of them. You’ll soon have a new plant!🌱)
